Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:25-27 NLT)
The path use to be pretty clear. It was straight, focused. But now it seems the path has just moved a bit, it’s winding and I can’t see where I am going. I can feel His purpose in my heart, and that’s what keeps me going, my hope.
There are so many distractions trying to make me lose my focus. But if I lose my focus on this winding path I could easily veer off and go the wrong way.
Right now is the time where I need to put my eyes and my heart to the path. No looking around smelling the pretty flowers, or tending to the weeds. Focus will keep me on the path the Lord has plotted out for me.
It gets confusing and it’s scary. But I lean on the promises of the Lord, that His plans for me are always good.
My heart feels light, I can finally feel the joy again. Joy comes when I place my focus back on the path that leads to the life God has planned for me.
So here I am hoping, walking, and waiting for the path to straighten out again. I know it will, but until then I will stay focused on Him.
Lord help me to stay focused on You.
