Sometimes our hearts can grow weary. One minute we have JOY and the next minute we are wrestling with doubt, fear, anger, hurt, busyness.
We might wonder if it is even possible to sit at the feet of Jesus at Christmas time, or even for just one day, and maybe in our wildest dreams, every single day for the rest of our lives into eternity.
Every moment the enemy is waiting to take whatever he can, but he can only take what we are clinging so tightly to.
That’s the secret the enemy never understood about Jesus. When the enemy thought he had won while Jesus hung on the cross, the enemy didn’t know that he couldn’t take Jesus’ life away from him.
He couldn’t take Jesus away because Jesus had already given His life away for our sin and for our redemption!
When we give offerings to God the enemy can’t take JOY away from us.
When we hand over to God all the busyness, the fear, the doubt, the pain then the enemy can’t touch our peace because we have entrusted God with these hurts that desire to crowd out the JOY in our life.
Jesus is the Son of God. He is Emmanuel, God with us. God GAVE His only son, nothing was taken from Him. This just shows me that it takes more faith to let go than it does to try and control.
Today I am learning to sit in the peace that comes from trusting God with all that matters to me in this world.
I know what matters to me matters to God even more.

Our faith begins with what we know and believe about God. Our faith will carry us how far we are willing to let it take us. Faith is a choice and we need to begin by choosing to believe in Jesus and His power to move mountains, heal the sick, and save us from all our sins through His sacrifice on the cross.
